Morlet Family Vineyards ‘Morlet Estate’ 2014
Description
“The 2014 ‘Morlet Estate’ has a Pauillac-like austerity as well as awesome notes of black fruits, graphite, lead pencil shavings and loamy soils. Fresh, focused, full-bodied and powerful, this classic, structured Cabernet Sauvignon will have 20-25 years of overall longevity.” Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com, June 2018

Vineyard: Morlet Family ‘Morlet Estate’ Vineyard
Our unique estate lies on the western foothills, just north of the town of St. Helena. Shallow loamy topsoil, rocky subsoil of the Hambright series, and full sun exposure, create superb conditions for our Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Respecting its historic 1880 charm, we restored the pre-Prohibition stone winery, which is illustrated on the label. Handcrafted using classical winemaking techniques and reminiscent of a true First Growth, this wine represents the precious memory of a very special place.
