The original brand of Richard Sanford who was one half of the duo that planted the iconic Sanford & Benedict vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills in 1971 when it was deemed too cold to ripen Pinot Noir or Chardonnay. Its since become the most acclaimed vineyard for both in North America.

The Sanford Sanford & Benedict Pinot Noir is sourced exclusively from this vineyard, famed for its perfect slopes and amphitheatre protection from cool maritime breezes. This vintage exudes gorgeous aromas of cherry, rhubarb, spice, earth and floral notes. The palate is silky and will improve over the next 10 years.
