Burgess, an esteemed Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon producer established in 1972, is the culmination of 150 years of farming tradition on the vertiginous slopes of Howell Mountain. From the Swiss-Italian ancestors who first planted the Sorenson Vineyard to the present day, the estate strives to produce wines of elegance and finesse that honor its deep roots in the Napa Valley. When Tom Burgess arrived in the Napa Valley, he began a quest to find the perfect vineyard site to yield the cabernet sauvignon wine he loved. In 2020 the Burgess family passed the baton to Gaylon Lawrence, Jr.
